The Problem

E-commerce built on another country’s template does not work in Iraq. Most customers prefer cash on delivery over cards; prices are quoted in dinars in some places and dollars in others; and an address field designed around street-and-number logic sits empty in Erbil, where directions are given by landmarks. Where these are not thought through, the order form gets abandoned, sales keep running over WhatsApp anyway, and the carts piling up on the site tell nobody anything.

We build the store around how people actually shop here. Cash on delivery is designed in as a first-class option, not bolted on as an exception. Prices can be shown in dinars and dollars together. The address step is built so directions can be written out and is backed by phone verification — that field is what actually saves the delivery. The moment an order lands, a notification goes to WhatsApp, so you continue on the channel you already use with the customer. Stock, orders and reports sit in one panel, and your own team runs it.

How Pricing Is Determined

In e-commerce the price is set by the sales model, not the product count. Single-price retail is not the same system as B2B with dealer pricing, tiered discounts and account balances.

  • Whether stock and accounting systems must be connected

Frequently Asked Questions

Does online card payment work in Iraq?
Partly. Card and local wallet infrastructures exist, but adoption varies and a significant share of customers still prefer paying on delivery. So we do not build the store on cards alone. We decide together which payment provider you will work with; if that provider’s technical interface allows it we build the integration, and if it does not, we say so upfront.
How is cash on delivery managed?
The order is created without waiting for payment and is tracked in the panel with “delivered / collected / returned” states. A daily delivery list can be generated for the courier, and at day’s end the system reports how much was collected from whom. The real risk with cash on delivery is fake orders; to reduce it we add phone verification and, where needed, a confirmation step before the order is dispatched.
How do you handle delivery where there is no street address?
We build the address step to match local reality: a district selection, a free-text directions field and a required phone number. A map pin can be added if wanted. What goes to the courier is the combination of the three; in practice what saves a delivery is a correct phone number plus clear directions, not a street name.
Do you set up payment and shipping integration?
Yes, we plan integration with the payment and delivery solutions that fit your needs. What decides the outcome is whether the provider offers a technical interface: if it does, orders are transferred automatically; if it does not, we set up a semi-automatic arrangement such as exporting lists from the panel. Which of the two applies becomes clear once the provider is chosen.
Do you offer Trendyol, e-invoice or fiscal-register integration?
No. Those are Turkey-specific systems with no counterpart in Iraq, and we do not present an integration that does not exist. The need here is different: dinar–dollar pricing, cash on delivery, landmark-based addresses and customer contact running over WhatsApp. We build the store around those instead.
Can you migrate my existing store?
Yes. We migrate your products, categories, customers and order history to the new system. If addresses change, old product URLs are redirected to the new ones so the search visibility you have built is preserved. Before migrating we give you a checklist showing how each type of data will be carried over, and we do not shut down the old system until you approve.
Who prepares the product photos and descriptions?
Product images and core details come from you — they are your products and cannot be invented. If the photos you have are not good enough, we explain how they should be shot. If you provide the description text we handle the transfer into all four languages; if there is none, we draft it and submit it for your approval. Only content you have approved goes live.
